The Doom Dealer - Homage to Frank Frazetta

Hey folx,

after some weeks of hard work (and some hollidays :D) I finally finished my new project "The Doom Dealer". This work is very important for me because I wanted to pay homage to Frank Frazettas "Death Dealer". I think I don't have to mention who Frank Frazetta was because most of you will know him and his art. For those of you who don't know him I would suggest you look him up in Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Frazetta) and you can also rummage through his paintings in these links: http://www.frankfrazetta.net/, http://frankfrazetta.org/

The miniature is mainly a combination of two GW Chaos Lords and some scratchbuild (helmet, shield and axe). The base is made out of milliput and some roots.
I had some problems with the pictures because the whole scene is quite dark and I am not completely pleased with the collage but I hope you like it anyhow.
Oh and some comments and/or votings would be great. :)

Crackpot, you continually produce some of the finest stuff this site has seen.

Brilliant, as my UK friends would say.

Big fan of Frazetta anyhow, and this one is clearly evocative of his work.

I have nothing to add to this, except that anyone who doesn't know Frazetta has led a deprived life.

I don't know if there is some tutorial out there, but I will try to make one in the near future. It's quite simple. ;)

Man, that is as a cool as a cool analogy. It's dark, but is full of light, that's some masterful balancing act.

I'd echo the request for an article on your cobweb process. They look right, rather than an obvious modelling contrivance.

Absolutely stunning, i am a big frazetta fan and this is my favourite painting of his so to see a mini version with some added details to make it more visually exciting is awesome!! Great work Crackpot!! Look forward to your next project.

An homage to who?

It looks good, but I am not sure what look you are going for. The cobwebs are very nice. Painting is great. Well done.
