Well it wouls seem that some of our great french painters were inspired by the spanish team and their t-shirt aboring the proud spanish maskot, a golden deamon riding a bull. So they made a french mascot to be worn at events around the world by french painters. behold...the french chicken !!!! drwaned by bertrand Benoit and painted by Allan C :D

Well if you ever plan to go to Lyon, do PM me. In addition to the mini painters, Lyon is a great city (culture, sports, night events, student events, ...). What studies are you doing?

I\'ll definetly have to see Allan\'s site when I have moment for the T-Shirt. Would be fun to have one just to see the faces of the GW personel at the next french GD ;).

Apologies to non-french speakers, but this message is better conveyed in le Molière\'s language :
Z\'êtes saoûlants les gars, j\'étais sur Lyon jusqu\'à l\'an dernier et j\'ai rencontré personne... grmbl.

To all others : remember that the rooster is France\'s national mascot.

Sorry, I\'ve been in Lyon for two and a half years (was in Montpellier before), but have been following the CMON forum only recently. Where are you now?

By the way, I thought Jérémie lived in Lyon (haven\'t crossed him yet), didn\'t you try to meet up with him?

Maybe I should start another thread, but does anyone else live in Lyon?

I\'ve been thinking about the French T-Shirt version of \"Le Coq Sportif\" (above)and I think that the English version should be an Archer firing paintbrushes instead of arrows.

Just remembering Agincourt of course. ;)

Just imagine those two T-shirts standing side by side at UK GD. lol

(This is in no way intended as a sleight against the French, merely a continuation of the Anglo-French rivalry which exists with U4-Welcome et al.) ;):D:D

Last year at the french GD, I was really pleased to see so many foreign painters. It gave me the impression of a non virtual CMON ;). I\'d rather talk about mutual stimulation than rivalry (no pun intended ;) ) between the English and the French.

@Dragonsreach : good idea for the \"Archer firing paintbrushes instead of arrows\". I wonder what the Americans, Germans, and Italians are going to come up with.

Well the American\'s could use the Amerian War of Independance figures from the famous painting with; a Paintbrush instead of the Flute and a Paintpot instead of the drum and the third carrying the flag;

The Germans and Italians will have to decide for themselves. Cos all I can think of is Pizza\'s & Cappuccino\'s for the Italians, Wine, Beer & Sausages for the Germans.
(Sorry for the stereotypes Guys & Gals)

I think we can choose between an eagle and a bear and aren\'t restricted to sausages. I mean, a sausage with a paintbrush? Wait...I find that kinda funny actually. Or we could take Bernd the Bread. He\'s become kind of a mascot.
