As everyone is gearing up for Gencon, please pause a moment to think about how gut wrenching it must be for our LGBT colleagues to go there knowing that legislation was almost passed making it legal to discriminate against them. To be blunt, this sucks. As artists, we have a unique chance to take action to make our peers feel welcome. This year at Gencon, there will be a special category in the main event called the Rainbow Brush, so that you can use your painting skills to send a message that the painting community is open to everyone.
The rules are straight forward – enter pieces which include every color of the rainbow.
The prizes are awesome. Manufacturers from all over the world have pitched in to make this one of the best supported painting events at Gencon.
