When the picture was taken, the red had just been started.

In the second photo, I sharpened it but the effect on the steel helmet is a little funny.

The other side.

I can understand no replies with shite pics, but when I actually put effort into them and out of 34 views no one says anything it\'s just a bit irritating. I\'ll post the WIPs from the minis I already started with here (in this and earlier posts) but here\'s a teaser of my big GD project(s) for next year:

Going to have go to http://www.canadian-team.com if you\'re interested, and I\'ll start with updates fairly soon.

Well Ian, you managed to answer your own question a bit there, mate.
The first pictures are too overexposed for me to really make out what you are painting.
You say the Red had just been started, but it looks a very pale pink in the picture and the cork you are using as a base has disappeared into White Glare.

The last pics are still miles (or kilometres!) better than those just before this WIP. The colours on the models were fairly accurate in the initial pictures of this thread (the red was that shade when first started, for example).. anyhow I\'ve tried to get (even) better pictures for this latest update!

@Freak- Cheers!

Ian, better pics will definitely help you get more response (and the new pics are better, indeed), but also tell us a bit more about your work. Let us know what you\'ve done, and more importantly, how you did it. Let us know what YOU think about it so far and what you might need help with. Let us know what your plans are for the remaining bits and if you have any doubts or questions about that. Just posting quite crappy pics with no information really makes it hard for people to comment, and I\'d think most people rather say nothing then.

The chinese guy seems to be coming along pretty nicely. I\'d try and up the higlights a bit on the red parts. What colour do you use for highlighting it? If you don\'t use it already I suggest using a light skin tone. Maybe you could also apply a few bright red glazes to intensify the red a bit more. I think it looks slightly too muted at the moment (could be the pictures though).

The other minis are a bit difficult to say something useful about at this point. Keep at it and show more pics when you\'ve gotten a bit further.

Alrighty.

On the martial artist, I highlighted with a flesh tone mixed with a bit of yellow. I agree that it\'s too muted at the moment, so I\'ll do something about that!

Some new ones..

Done the base.. going to look over the mini again for mouldlines and dust it off before priming.

The chips and number you painted inside the sentinel are nice, but are you sure you\'ll even be able to see it once it\'s glued together with the driver inside?

Highlights look smooth on the martial arts guy. Keep it up! :)
