The State of the Free Folk (Your Thoughts Wanted)

I've honestly had issues with Mance, so far i've used him with what's in the starter set. Giants and raiders/trappers. The idea is to get as many units that can benefit from his "morale 6" rule, meaning that raiders can last quite a bit more than usual, although morale changes with 1.5 messed this up a little. I wouldn't be surprised if we see changes to that particular commander.

Edit:

Oh...but if you look at the 1.5.1 faq document on cmon website...you'll find that he got some changes too. Quite interesting.

I feel like im having a really Hard time building a ff list now since 1.5.1.
It feels like the points Are forcing me to take a brunch of raiders and just fill with attachments if i want to achieve 10 activations or more. There isn't room for any good stuff...

Really? I've found the opposite lol, all our previously-crappy options are now a lot better.

What about something like:
Followers of Bone + Weeper (C)
Bonelord's Chosen + Rattleshirt
Raiders
Raiders
Raiders
Raiders
Cave Dwellers

Styr
Val

But you have No skinchangers, No harma, No 3rd ncu and only 9 activations.. It just feels off to me.
You make it work anyways tho?

WTF do you mean "only 9 activations"? That's quite a few. In 50 point games, sure, we can start talking 10+

Easy friend, no need to come out swinging like that. Lots of the people here are new, and even if they aren't we don't need to get a up in people's faces over differences of opinion.
Having more people interested and engaged in the game benefits us all.

Ya I'd say that 9 activations is fine, probably the number you should be aiming for as freefolk. Even 8 is OK if you are going for a newly viable "elite" build (Bonelords Chosen, Giants, etc)

Well imo id like 10 activations in 40 points. But I agree that the changes Are allowing more "elite lists".
Maybe im just doing it wrong but I find 2 raiders way better than bonelords chosen.. And I main rattleshirt commander so id love to feel Otherwise..

Bonelords chosen are much better with commander Styr or commander Weeper

It means having an average cost of 4/activation in your army... that's low, even for Free Folk. I'd be interested to see how Badger breaks down listbuilding if he thinks 10 activations is important for 40 points.

I ususally have around 9 activations with FF armies i build at 40pts...even 8 sometimes (giants, "elites).
