The Tomb of Thulsa Doom

Hey guys,

my latest diorama is finally finished and pictures are now online. :) I have to admit, the whole project took me longer than I thought, mainly because of the angle of the base and the rather poor cast of the big snake.
The miniatures are from Banelegions and the viking miniature was realy great and nearly flawless. Very good resin and very few moldlines. The opposit was the case with the big snake. The resin felt a bit cheap und there were moldlines, bubbles and flawes everywhere. And then I also decided to modify the miniature a bit and change to a different weapon. The axe is made of plasticard and some chaos bitz.
The base is made mostly of modelling plaster (Stewalin and Keramin) und some plasticards (mainly the doors). I wanted a shifted layout of the base because this way it mostly seems more natural, but this little detail involves a lot of work and planning. Nothing has a right angel and so you have to make exact layout plans and have to work precisely.

Sooo, all in all it was quite fun to build and paint this diorama, but it took me way longer than I thought. I hope you like it nevertheless and I would be happy for any comments and votes:

WOW!!! Simply gorgeous! When I see your work it makes me want to do something just like it, utterly inspirational!

Are you entering this in any comps?

"it took me way longer than I thought"

Yes. I feel your pain. Some one shoot me the next time I think a diorama is a good idea. Stunning work once again, though.

Thanks a lot guys!

@AndyG
I don't know yet. I really have no idea when I have time for a competition in the near future, hopefully at the Duke of Bavaria next year at the latest.

Good luck with that. Do you ever do euro millitaire? Totally excellent international comp very very high standard you'd fit right in.
