The ULTIMATE Golden Demon

These instantly come to mind. I don\'t really feel I can pick minis I\'ve not actually seen though, so they are UK centric.

Well it was a while ago that I saw it and I was younger and less tarnished by the wear of the world. Perhaps my eyes are clouded by happy reminiscing and it\'s actually really pants! ;)

can\'t find a good pic but this years Fantasy Gold Skaven chap by Seb Archer is a beater of the Orc IMHO but only marginally the hyper detail and overall atmosphere of it is awesome....of course a pic would help...

Yeah, it\'s amazing. Held it in hand and looked at it close-up in Paris! Top stuff!

Seb\'s Skaven was phenomenally painted, but doesn\'t scream Warhammer like the Orc for me. As soon as I got Albert\'s Orc out the cabinet to take a look at all I could really think was that it was the Slayer Sword winner. I think it\'s the most obvious category winner I\'ve ever seen at a Golden Demon. But that\'s why the prize ceremony is always interesting and the awards will always cause someone to think a particular entry was robbed. We are all into different stuff and that just adds to the unpredictable fun of Golden Demon!

Gotta say that the stuff painted by this guy, http://miniature-art.tripod.com/leonatos/id1.html
has always blown me away. It\'s a style of mini painting that I can\'t get enough of.

Oh, and every thing that Seb paints is a winner. He\'s got to be one of the most inspirational painters/artists out there! Not only that, but he made time to answer some of my mini related questions in the past and was so generous with his help, etc... He\'s a very humble d00d!

I find this one Amazing, my favorite from GD -06, and I was overjoyed to see it at GD -07 again! :D

@Lono- I definitely am going to have to agree about that youngbloods entry... That has to be the straight up best youngbloods winner I have ever seen. As far as an overall best I have no idea which one to pick. There simply has been too many amazing models over the years.

 Thank you EPStudios and Lono. Shame that the photo sucks, they will rephotograph it on the 7th December so hopefully you can have a better look then :D

*edit* I\'m not sure my entry beats this one, though:

Yep gotta agree that\'s a tough one..seen both in the flesh..Painting alone Bill\'s win\'s hands down really fine detail work and an almost gem like look to it..but the ork is a bad ass piece of converting...comparing the two the big difference in both is the pants same colours totally different look.
