For instance, here are a few off the top of my head:

LONGER

Music: Pretty little ditty - Red Hot Chili Peppers
All the music from the Amiga game \"Hired guns\" - especially the main menu and character selection screen

TV: Dark Skies - A BRILLIANT series, based around the Roswell UFO crash, and set during the 1960s. Inexplicably cencelled before it finished. (I think it was on Channel 4)

Personal: June - July 2000 - Canada ;)

SHORTER

Music: Pink Floyd :p Some of their stuff is GREAT, and they were innovators, but my GOD... lol

TV: The Time life CD compilation adverts! My GOD - It\'s all \"Classics\" you can get for free in any Sunday paper insert, compiled into like 80 CDs, with an advert that goes ON... And ON... And ON... :flame:

Things I wish lasted longer: My cardio system in general. When I was riding mountain bikes I had to take frequent breaks on uphills. Loved biking, but I was seriously hampered by lack of stamina.

There is also a paticular downhill off Mount Eldon here in Flagstaff. It used to take me 3-4 hours uphill to get to the start of the downhill part. Getting to the bottom was so much fun. Not too technical, but just enough for a real challenge at high speed, riding through the most beautiful forest. The best part, Shultz Creek pass is my favorite stretch of trail ever, but that only lasts 15 minutes. The whole downhill is about 25 minutes. Course my shoulders and wrists are exhausted by the time I\'m through it, but if I could extend that time somehow, I sure would.

Things I wish were shorter. The worst I can remember, I went to a talking circle once. The guy who ran it treated it very much as a full on Navajo ceremony, notwithstanding some credibility issues I won\'t get into. Anyway, it was after work, and I and my boss had been invited. I remember I was dog tired from driving half way across the rez to for an interview, so I dosed myself up on caffeine (couple big sodas) as I drove the additional hour and a half over to the site where this was to take place. On the way it occured to me that drinking that much fluid prior to anything ceremonial was a bad idea. You are not supposed to leave the room until after a song sequence is over, or in this case, everyone has spoken. So, tired or not, slamming 2 sodas was a stupid idea.

No problem, I thought, I\'ll just go to the restroom before I go in the hogan. I get there, and all the buildings are locked. There isn\'t even a section of pine forest where I could quietly disappear, and I am already feeling the soda. So, I asked the \"medicine man\" how long it would take and he said about an hour. So, I went in. I was dreading it, and I knew I would be uncomfortable, but I figured I\'d survive for 1 hour. Let\'s just say it was an incredibly uncofortable 4 hours.

...had it been a real ceremonial, the whole thing would have been paced with breakes every hour or so. But because it was this do-it-yourself thing, the mammoth time frame combined with the don\'t-leave-the-room priciple and my own lack of foresight to create for me anyway a kind of private hell that I endured with the best smile I could muster. Of all the things I wish had been shorter, that talking circle tops the list.

Any TV soap series. (As in Non-existant)
TV advertisment breaks. Leave them to the end of the programme for pity\'s sake!
Droning lectures on reducing sick absentism from work. (Yeah Right with 3 people who have been daiognosed as Diabetics within the last year and are trying to managed that....Gimme a break.)
Droning lectures on Health & Safety at work. (As opposed to Sensible Health & Safety lectures. You want people to learn - Make Em Laugh)
Droning pointless and repetative Technical meeting that take 3 hours when it could have been completed in 10-20 minutes.
Having tea with the Mother in Law. (Eternity)
