SRV is, hands-down, the best.

Don\'t get me wrong; Jimi Hendrix, Randy Rhoads, B.B. King, Jimmy Page - all great, great guitar players. But, man, nobody, and I mean nobody, played as well as Stevie did. The man is legend.

Great guitar legends

Hi, If you\'re a big fan of blues/rock guitar playing like myself you\'re sure to love Danny Gatton. Like SRV, he also died way too young. Thankfully their music will live on forever!

Check \'em out (I promise you won\'t be disappointed): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MS5XH84mmI4

 Thanks for the links, that guy is amazing! I don\'t know if I want to be a guitarist or I might get too good and die before I turn 30...

Hi AinuLainour, no worries. I\'m glad you liked the Danny Gatton stuff. Hehe, don\'t worry about dying too young. Fortunately, not all the good die young.

Hey, if you love SRV you may be interested in checking out some of his major influences such as, T-Bone Walker, Albert King, Albert Collins and Kenny Burrell. To name just a few.

Happy listening and painting. There\'s nothing like having a relaxing painting session with some nice Blues or Jazz playing in the background. Total bliss!

Victor Wooten

Thanks for the c00l links. Wow! Victor Wooten plays a seriously mean bass. Chops galore!

It\'s funny you know. This thread, contrasts well with the \'Miniatures Up-Close\' thread in that we\'re able to see \'Guitars Up-Close\'.

Now it\'s time to bid you all good night/afternoon or morning depending on where you\'re living. It\'s time to turn my computer off, and my CD player on, and get a good ol\' painting session going. Otherwise I\'ll never get any miniatures finished.

So long for now groovers and shakers.
