We just discovered a major system here isn\'t compatible with the U.S. time zone change this weekend.

Looks like I earn my keep today.
(and hopefully this isn\'t a double post)

Plan:

1. :cussing:
2. :drunk:

If I were you I\'d skip step one and then you\'d have twice as much time for step 2 ;)

Govt. involvement again screws up business. I\'m not in IT but all our meeting times have been corrupted in our system due to the DST time-change patch. The big problem is that it affected our overseas locations which have nothing to do with our US time change policies.

Actually, we don\'t have a time change here in AZ, and as far as I know, we still won\'t.

I have heard there could be a bit of Y2K action with this new time change. A lot of computers aren\'t set up for the time change. RUN FOR THE HILLS!!

The big problem for us were the older systems that didn\'t have updates rolled into them for the time change. When these systems have to communicate with other systems, you end up with things like calendar events being generated that will be an hour off for the next three weeks. It\'s not likely to cause system shutdown on anything.

I was up until 2am last night patching one part of the production system, and need to do more today. Tomorrow we\'ll try and run a batch process that corrects any calendar events that have the incorrect time.

I never quite got to step 2 of the plan.
