Its head is like a metal cylinder, but with curved lateral ribby things. Does anyone know what this mace is called? I\'ll have a look at what it loks like on the dwarf too.

I\'d call it a standard footman\'s mace or light mace.

It\'s the traditional D&D (AD&D for those who remember the good old days) Cleric\'s weapon of choice. Usually has a bit of embellishment on the end too.

Not that it makes any difference, but:

Mace: a club used as a weapon.

Morning Star: club-like weapon which includes one or more spikes.

Flail: weapon made of one (or more) weights attached to a handle with a hinge or chain.

Scourge: a whip or lash consisting of several thongs or lashes attached to a single handle with metal bits tied to the ends of the lashes.

Cat-o-nine-tails: a type of multi-tailed whipping device consisting of nine lashes or thongs.

I can look at weapons on minis without a second thought, but as soon as someone throws up a photo of something like a morning star, I instantly seem to imagine it being used, and just how thoroughly unpleasant a weapon it would be to get hit about the head with. Yikes that thing would be nasty!

A bit too late now, but I think you\'d have done well to do the pins in the filed down existing weapon too. Swords are so common. Morning stars have that retro coolness about them!

How about axe head on a chain, like GW did with some of the Dwarf Slayers the other year? Or goblin on a chain :p

In all seriousness though, I agree with Ogrebane - has to be a hammer or chuffing big axe.

yeah you got it....the one pictured, and ask about would just be called a flanged mace.

The white area in the center looks fantastic but the shadowing at the top of the blade doesnt look right, not sure why, but t looks blended roughly and looks like it could be on the wrong side of the blade.

But i aint no NMM expert so i may be completely wrong!

From what I know, only one edge of the blade is as bright that it goes to white (the top one, in this case), so the lower edge should be darker, and the reflections should be placed opposite the upper edge\'s reflections :]

Not if the light is coming from the side. I think making the top end of the blade lighter will make it look better.
