That, is the question.
Whether \'tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows or outrageous misfortune, or... The possibility of cocking up a really nice mini
Metallics but using some NMM techniques is the way to go I think. Something I was playing around at before I lost my ability to pick up a paint brush and you can definately get some interesting effects. Think this model would suit it.
Friends, Romans, Countrymen, lend me your L337 N1NJ4 5k1LL5!
For that, and forgetting I\'d already given you the link to Antenociti\'s Workshop earlier in your substaion thread, I say go with painting it in the style of Picasso.
I\'m pretty new on the forums, just started posting with my account today, but I agree with Dragonsreach. The only thing that I would add is this: Whatever you decide push your skills and be sure to learn something new while you’re at it. Oh, and have fun.
Yeah, sorry about that. I should look at the dates of the posts better... then after I posted I found a WIP of the finished model. I\'m a little embarrassed.
By the way, the model looks great finished. I like the color choices and the NMM is done really nice and clean.
I\'m not generally a fan of nmm but in this case I would use it. Or you could do what I did on my last mini. Paint it in nmm fairly crudely, getting the main highlights in place and do a thin metalic wash over the top. Worked pretty good. Look at the sword blade on the I\'m coming with you WIP.
Think about what you are most comfortable with and then do the opposite. Consider each model a learning experience and make an effort to challenge yourself with each new project.
