Trip around the world

Well I had an idea the other day when becca showed me a beautifull pic of a sunset near her. I think we have people here from pretty much everywere around the word, and we most probably have beautifull landscapes that we could share with others. And it\'s also a good way to rediscover the beauty around you. So I\'ll start with some pics of the french alpes.

View from my room, the moutain is called \'la dent de croll\'

View from my kitchen, \'la chaine de beldone\'
Beldonne.jpg

And a view from the living room, still the chaine de beldonne but you can see a ski station called chamrousse on the right.

That\'s a nice view, I would love to have something like that I could gaze at on a daily basis.

Hrmmm, well I could give you pictures of bible thumpers and rednecks ... (peering through blinds quickly to see if any are about).

great idea frenchkid (although all these photo threads are probably chewing up bandwidth), I\'d love to see where people live. Once I get home from work I\'ll put up some photos of the california coastline where I take my daily run, show you all what you\'re missing :D

This is a nice sunset shot from the car on the freeway, close to where I live.

These photos are taken where my parents live, which is not far away from where I live (and they\'re actually taken in the middle of the winter a couple of years ago).

Not much to see here in Katy( by Houston ), Texas. It is mainly flat grassland, with Oaks and Pecan trees. I do not have any pictures, but if I did you would see the above description. The best part of Texas is the hill country, and the Davis mountains. I guess that is why I love the mountains so much. Have a good day...

ok, well here is my little piece of the world

Here is the path down to the beach off my back porch

And once you get down to the beach:

Here is a photo I took today from a friends deck of the beautiful Monterey Bay

bayviewweb.jpg

And finally Santa Cruz is home of some of the best surfing, and here is where a lot of it happens (although the waves aren\'t up in this photo)

Pleasure-Pointweb.jpg

well that\'s my home, we have some of the best (oxyginated) air in the world here as well on the monterey bay, one of the cleanest and alive bays anywhere.

-Eric

PS I nearly forgot one, this is Natural Bridges state park, although you can\'t see the arches in the point from this photo, you can see the one that collapsed! :)

what!? you were here and you didn\'t stop by to say hello! ???

okok, I forgive you. But I just moved down here a couple months ago and it\'s going to be hard to leave. It\'s beach weather today, shorts and a teeshirt in the middle of winter and you see how beautiful it is here too! :D

I wouldn\'t have said....adorable however :p

But it was adorable, all the little houses were so cute.

Actually everything I saw of California was very beautiful, which I really hadn\'t expected. Well, LA wasn\'t exactly beautiful...but interesting. Yosemite on the other hand...WOW  And Death Valley, and...(should probably stop now, I could go on and on about that trip. LA - Key West in 7,5 weeks :D)

The Monterey Bay area is one of my favorite parts of the US. If I won the mega millions jackpot tomorrow I\'d move to Monterey the next day!

Ohh great, I think I have to relocate AGAIN!!!! Now I\'am jealous. ;)
It doesn\'t make any sense to make any photos, you would just see houses... and thats it. No sea, no mountains, no lakes, no forest just houses... :(

Florida was great! Especially the panhandle (it\'s called that right? the nort west of Florida?) because that\'s where we had a car and could travel along the coast (Tallahassee to New Orleans along the coast). It was empty (it was in december) but beautiful beaches! In KEy West I loved those trees and old houses..and all the cats!

The whole route: LA-SF (Pacific Coast Highway)-Yosemite-Death Valley-Las Vegas-LA-Austin-New Orleans-Memphis-Nashville-Dollywood(!)-Charleston-Savannah-Okefenokee Swamp Park-New Orleans-Key West-Miami-back home to Stockholm, Sweden!

That was quite a trip :D For the most part we had a rental car, but LA-Austin-New Orleans, and New Orleans-Key West was by Greyhound :)o)

I\'m sorry Becca, can\'t compete with where I live! :p

yeah, but I admit the houses here are all pretty small, AND unreasonably expensive. You actually can\'t get much more expensive than the monterey bay coast. Years ago when I was in real estate, I marketed a house on the beach here that Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston looked at for a vacation home, but they had to pass because it was out of their price range...:(
