Well consider it a treat for those of you who check this thread then. I'm not going to resubmit. I can't stand when people make multiple entries for one mini. So how hypocritical would I be to do the same? Think of it as a lesson learned.
As for painting today - I got some work done, but stopped early after stabbing not one, but both thumbs in the space of 5 minutes with the same piece of metal.

Got the hair done, got the orange done. Started the base for the gold. Saving the white for last, along with the sword.

Some great colors going on here. I think the black line between the orange and the flesh is too wide, but I bet it is the photo. I was hoping you would do an entry for GD, though. ANyway, she is looking good, I am curious to see more on the hair. It is hard to tell how good it is, sinc ethere is so much white primer next to it. Good job, Trys.

Hold the presses. I will be bringing a GD entry after all. LOL. As for the line, the dark brown is just a base coat of the nmm gold. It will get fixed.
Krule - it basically amounted to ditching the light tent, and the black felt background. Too much light and the camera was struggling to adjust. A better camera will still help, but this is a step up.

LOL with a month to go before the show, I'm 10 times more likely to actually finish something than he is. Of course his half finished entry would whip my finished entry, but at least I'd be done!

Haha I'll post some tonight... big giant shiny cat should make an appearance, as well as my usual bout in LotR single. 2 will be tough but the sphinx is partially done, so I am hoping things go smoothly.
It will be awesome to see Tryst finally enter for the first time!! He has an idea for a solid entry so I look forward to seeing progress (and how it does!)

As for my entry, it's way more planning than I've ever done for a mini before, but I think it will pay off when I start laying paint. I just need to tackle one last prep matter and I can hopefully prime today or tomorrow.

I'll be happy to just finish in time to enter. And by lots of planning, I mean I've actually thought about how to paint it before picking up a brush. Usually I just wing it. But since this is GD, I need a plan of attack. I'll spill the beans later
