Was there ever a badge

I think badge or a pin would be the best way to identify a CMONer, because different people have different taste in clothing, and conventions last for days, so it is hard to keep wearing the same shirt :) So let\'s come up with some ideas and designs.

I think something in the form of a \"flat\" would probably be nice, so that if people want to paint it, they can, or just wear it as is.

Imagine something like this with CMoN abouve his head...

A pewter \'flat\' with the letters \"CMoN\" and maybe a cool little character that could be paintable by each member would be wonderful.

It\'d be great advertisement for the site, plus a great identifier for other CMoNers.

Vikey, in small runs, those are rather pricey.

I think Wolf Fangs idea of embroidered patches might work. (also pricey in small runs)

But either run ought to be around a thousand (wild guess at number of active board members that would be interested in getting a pin.)

My first thought was buttons with the banner (look at the top of the page) on it. Fairly cheap, just print off a bunch of the banners and press buttons. Done at cons all the time.

:flip:

Thats funny...I love the \'middle aged-living with mother line, but you forgot to add the \'klingon speaking middle aged- living in basement with mother\'

Of course, That was just and EXAMPLE...Maybe something a bit more \'tough\' would be appropriate...

A flat printed Badge might be more cost effective.

Either that or you could talk to a certain resin casting base manufacturer about resin 3D ones. *Cough* Spacemunkie *Cough*

I don\'t see how it would be so expensive. A mold with 10 or so slots can be made for $40-$90. It would cost a few dollars per spin of the mold, so if 100 people wanted one, it wouldn\'t be that bad at all; maybe $2 each plus shipping. I am sure someone here would be happy to sculpt the flat for free also.

I agree that the wizard looks a little childish, but I really like the idea of the pewter flat.
Especially if you get to paint it yourself.

Yeah sounds like a good idea.
In the mean time you can do your own t-shirts quit easily. I had done mine andd cedricc\'s t-shirts for the french GD :)

Tell that to some of the types you meet at cons. At least they SMELL like they\'ve worn the same shirt for days.

We need to keep this simple, and well obvious. I like the pin approach, but I would recommend turning the CMON Logo (See above ... like the top of the web page) with a blank space below to put CMON Handle and perhaps ranking.
