agreed. i hate it when films are watered out just so kids can see them

I equally hate when because of the subject matter, people think it\'s automatically a \'kid movie\'.

One review I saw seemed shocked that it wasn\'t kid friendly.... Like the Rated R rating didn\'t give that away.

I saw it on Friday, and have to say it lived up to the hype if not surpassed it.

I agree with peoples comments on rorschach and him being the best performer throughout.

Definitely enjoyed having its 18 certificate giving it free roam to portray itself perfectly.

One of the best films i have seen and most likely will see this year.

Sounds like cinemas in cali are dog awful. I saw it in the Odeon in Liverpool one and i didnt see a phone flash, no babies nor annoying loud teens and this was at 5 o clock

Absolutely brilliant. Stays true to the book but does change the bits that wouldn\'t have mademuch sense on the screen.

Well worth a watch even if you have read the book.

I think you missed the question\'s meaning entirely. He\'s wondering where the heck Meneleus got the apple he was eating when he said the line \"There\'s no reason we can\'t be civilized\", which was said while his mean were skewering Persians to ensure they were dead.

I\'ve wondered about that, a few times, myself.

How violent exactly is it?
I\'ve not watched Sin City or 300 yet as I\'m really not keen on too much violence in movies.

Having worked in a cinema (long time ago now), I had to tell one woman she couldn\'t take her baby into see a film because it was an 18. In the UK under age includes babies! You can only take a baby into a U, PG, or nowadays a 12.

Can tell you she wasn\'t happy about and asked for the manager, who also refused her. We were really strict there lol

Various limbs being chopped off etc...

300 is not as bad as sin city, but sin city is quite arty, but some bits make you cringe.

In one scene you see a dog eat a mans legs, but you only see the sihouette (which i surpose could be worse in a mental kinda way..)

I watched sin city with two 14 year olds and if i had the chance to rewind time i would say they couldnt watch it fo sho..

I recommened 300 though, its a great flick!

 BarstoolProphet!

Yeah, 300 isn\'t very violent at all. The most disturbing film I\'ve seen so far is Pan\'s Labyrinth actually lol

Back on topic: The one problem I had with the movie was why did the blue guy have to be naked half the time??

Probably because it\'s \"loyal to the original comic series\".

At least he put on his little banana hammock when he went all gigantor. That would\'ve been... excessive.

Honestly there were two things that bothered me about the dong shots. Obviously the first part was the sheer volume of them, many scenes could\'ve had closer cropped shots without losing any dramatic/cinematic flair. Second, it was just so impossibly limp and immobile. I know he\'s detached from the world and all, but you\'d think it would perk up and say \"Hello\" once in a while. Creeped me out :p
