Depending on just how clunky you care for it to be, lots of text editors (such as Word) allow you to save things as html. So there's one quick and dirty way.
You might want to check out Wordpress or another blog site. It might be easier for you to set up a "blog" then a full fledged website. Maybe Zab or Canny will come along and comment. They both have decent homemade blogs:
Yeah blogger is okay, but just remember it's free so sometimes apps and other shit go on the fritz. Last year lightbox just stopped working for about 3 days and the whole blogger community went nuts - it was three days, but it took about 3 minutes for people to start hurling invective at the poor blogger support site. If you want to own your domain and sell stuff on the site I would get something cheap where you pay monthly or yearly so you have full control. Remember that blogger and wordpress can shut you down if there is even a hint of legal trouble or even enough complaints from individuals, that is a little harder to do when you are a paying client
I use a free online site called "weebly" it let's you create blogs, forums, forms, host pretty much anything, there are a few restrictions unless you pay, but I haven't needed them so far.
