Oh gawd...

I came across an old thunder hammer I scratch built to see what it looked like, and then figured I should convert a character to HOLD it :p

Here\'s what I came up with...

Green stuff work still to do, smoothing and guitar wire to connect the hammer to the backpack, etc...
I may also shorten the length of the hammer haft.

looking good dan :drunk: as you said the hammer should be a bit shorter, and them rivet things on the shoulder pads could be smaller imo but great all together

now get it painted !!!!

Agreed, the haft needs to be shorter, certainly if he\'s going to hold it near the end. I\'d say either the part from the hand to the spiky bit or the spiky bit itself.

Yeah, I\'m gonna chop the hand grip down.
Someone on the B&C site they liked it, but it looked more like a power golf club at the moment :p lol

Maybe if you\'re going to be adjusting the handle anyway, you could make him holding it closer to the top. That looks really good.

i agree with the comments about the haft but i would say the head needs to bigger to for smashing things!

I like, the ultramarines buckle on the chest, thats a nice touch. And the shoulder pad differences add character.

I dislike the hammer head, it seems wrongly proportioned, it should be at least similar size to the back of the hammer. Glad that you are shortening the haft as at that sized it looked impossibly huge to carry one handed (even if a space marine) but if it was gona be that size it woulda looked tons better being wielded two handed.

I know most of the time its thunderhammer/storm shield but would have been nice to have him without one and maybe a bolt pistol, this along with a shorter hammer being held towards the hammer head would\'ve made for a nicer more dynamic pose.

Cant comment on the cape thus far, its a tad blurry the photo, but looks good.

Lets hope to see this primed up and painted.

He\'s \'armless.

That looks better. I\'m not sure it looke d like a golf club before, more of a polo mallet thingy, whatever they call them.

You mean the bit where the front pieces meet?

like this: /\\

Yeah, it\'s at a bit of an awkward angle to shave - I may smooth it out with a lil more GS when I come to finishing it.

@ Cleezy I see what you mean, I\'ll see what pistols I have it my bitz box, but I\'m pretty sure most pistols that are being held are right hands, but if I have any unheld bolt pistols I\'ll think about changing it...

Otherwise I think he\'s done (Base is almost done too)

I\'ve started on his base - he\'s gonna be facing AWAY from the crumbled edge, but I was just trying to think what to add to front of the base to add a little more interest...

i think you should have him faced towards the crumbled edge. i think he would look odd facing the other way
:)

let me guess how you made that base: PLASTER:p

I would have him on the concrete part of the the base, as though looking out onto the barren wasteland to meet his oncoming enemies.
