Haven't been well, during my hiatus I did this wee mural for my community to remember the fallen from Belfast at the Somme. Not really a mini at 17X21ft, but have no fear mini's to come soon, I did use citadel paint for the blue triangle if that gives me any credence. God bless.

Nice and huge mural, artistry is obviously in your veins... missing your work here, glad you came back.

Baby steps, bought this cheeky chap off ebay, stripped in acetone really well, tidied up some casting issues and now ready to prime. Gonna make him my avatar methinx.

TY Maenas, slow n steady. Thanx all the guys for my warm welcome back, a new attitude :)

Forgot I could clean the old resin base with Dettol, please forgive. It's salvage from an old mini, a little milliput, dark age base and rain water pipe. Foliage, ferns, moss and water effects to be applied after base paint. Rude Gobbo should sit well here....a few mushies may be required too.

Thinking out loud. Underpaint done, now onto some brass etched foliage for the base. The colours may seem a bit weird but hopefully make sense as I progress. As per my norm methodology I start from close to full shade for a less saturated effect overall.

I really like this base... Can't say much more at this point, the colors will be very different and I like that.

Went out to the park and took some reference images for foliage, so i'm painting in season for Northern Ireland, I like this approach. So base is underway, lots to do as yet and apologies for image quality, having some gremlins with the lens :(

Ty Teronus :)

Leaving the base for now and moving onto the mini, then i'll bring it all together at the end. With all the wee details I think i'll make the base a few 'stops down' on the highlights to give the mini centre stage.

A quick photo in progress helps me to see possible flaws in decision making, trying to avoid night goblin freehands but couldn't resist 'green' flesh. Another walk in the countryside has given me fresh ideas for colour variety on the base. Weekend should finish him off. Back soon.

He has a 'little red riding hood' theme which suits the countryside base. I'm loving the purples on the bottom lip and nose , will be stealing that idea :good:
