Witch hunter Inquisitor (Ordo Hereticus)

I have this Warhammer figure I got a while ago with the intention of converting him, and I thought it wouldn\'t be too difficult to do with my eyesight the way it is right now, however, I still feel I could do with some pointers...

Firstly, here is the figure itself (I have washed the top area with black wash to help me see detail a bit easier)

Now I wanted to do a simple weapon swap, and maybe a bit of addition, doesnt seema need for any green stuff...

I was thinking something along the lines of:

Please excuse the crappy sketch, but Im finding it hard to focus - thats why the chest area is so plain - becuase I cant focus on the figure to see what\'s actually there!! lol

Basically I wanted to keep the straight pistol grips (Maybe even the flints! lol) of the original pistols and simply replace the ends with something like plasma pistols (As shown)

Just after some pointers really.,,

I have a fair few bits, so please let me know what you think.

BTW: The old plasma pistols I have seem too blocky - but gs miight fix it, and the new ones seem too tall (But again, gs might fix it)

However, I\'m not sure how bolt pistols or something else would look :s

This is a cool idea, and he won\'t take much conversion to 40k up at all mate!

The plasmas are cool, and can be a futuristic spin on the whole \'burn the witch!\' thing (you could also use a flamer, but they are a bit pants.)

As a thought, a few giutar string cables and maybe a bionic eye (possible bolter sight chopped up?) and this will really add to the futuristic conversion.

Great to see you getting back in the game too, Dan. Hopefully it won\'t be too ling before your\'e at full speed.

Yeah I don\'t like bionic eyes personally Dave, so thats a no I\'m afraid. I\'ll have a look through wat possible other 40k bits I could shove on him - although he looks pretty busy already really - why I wanted to make such a simple convo...

(PLUS my eyes! lol)

The main problem I\'m HAVING though is the angle to cut the flintlocks and the plasma pistols in order to make a decent looking fit... But as mentioned - both new and old plasma pistols seem slightly different in scale to the flintlocks - which are quite thin and narrow. So they MAY need some GSing...

If you\'re just using the model for a cool looking conversion I have an idea. Those pistols he has already look like inferno pistols, which are a witch hunter only weapon. They\'re pretty much 6\'\' melta pistols. Think long barrel black powder pistols with a 40k flare. Umm, I think the other \"female\" inquisitor has an inferno pistol in one hand.

yeah I did read that in the codex - the only think is I think they look really crap lol

Dante\'s melta pistol thingy
Old plasma pistols
New plasma pistols
Chaos plasma pistols (I think from the sorcerors)
Old bolt pistols
New bolts pistols

New Plasma pistols definately... Maybe just one pistol and a power/chain sword would do the trick. There are plenty things you could do to make this 40k, the matter is how much are you willing to do to it. Maybe even giving him some high tech boots would do the job... a little bit of armor here and there... a backpack... anything!!! not much of an idea box am I???

Here is waht the fella looks like with his new spanky master-crafted plasma pistols.

They were a RIGHT pain to attach, especially trying to drill such a TINY hole to pin the pieces!! lol And I think theyr probably quite delicate, so I\'ll have to pack the gaps with some GS once I can see again

I\'m also wondering where to put his auspex/greandes, but still can\'t really see his chest area that well... Does anybody have a link to a painted version so I can see him a bit better...? Ta

As for the WH/40k transition - I disagree - just look at the 30yr ltd. ed. witch hunter (Inquisitor Lorr?)

But I agree PARTIALLY about the pistols - that was the main question I posed when I was planning the conversion - but I hope to lessen this transition with a bit of GS once I can see a bit better!!
