This is the new figure I\'m working at.. I haven\'t done so much yet but I\'m starting to complete the face. I decided that I\'d give him the grey cloak he has in the forest of fangorn.

Thanks! Your model looks excellent too tidoco2222.. :) I\'m curious on the flur de lys. How did you manage to paint over the blue with yellow.. with such a clean result? I\'m thinking you maybe undercoated with white or a light brown colour first but I\'m still amazed! Which yellow did you use?

Nice work everyone:] ,

Tidoco2222 the Bretonnian is looking beautiful now particularly the heraldry, will be very nice to see it complete

Avelorn your Gandalf looks excellent, i painted one of these myself and know how hard it is to get the face right, especially the eyes, but as many have already said, you\'ve nailed it :D

@ Avelorn thanks, the yellow was done first by drawing the patterns with black and then infilling these areas first with a couple of coats of Ghostley Grey and then a couple of coats of Skull White finally a couple of coats of Golden Yellow finally the highlights and shades were done by mixing either white or Leprous Brown into the Golden Yellow for the highlights and shades.
It is ok for small areas but as I have found out not to good for larger ones :(.

It is very nearly finished now and I hope to have it up on Cmon in the next day or so. :D

Alright. Here is the beginnings of my next figure for the \"Spartans\' Last Stand\" diorama. This is King Leonidas, who has just been shot with an arrow and is, I\'m afraid dead:( The arrow is a minor conversion of mine:) It took me one or two coats of black, two coats of Scorched Brown, two coats of SB/BestielBrown, 2 coats of BB, and like a BAZILLION coats of GW Dwarf Flesh followed by dwarf/elf and elf flesh alone. But anyway, it has taken me quite some time to do the flesh.

@Tim, I am looking forward to seeing your finished Bretonian Knight. It\'s looking really good.

looking at it now I do not like the blue on the shield so that will get redone and made smoother.

Wow, that is just awesome Tim. I like his facial expression from the side view, and of course, the freehand is excellent.

Help for the helpless!

All righty, I\'m needing some help here. This is my mini I want to submit for Genghis Con (Denver, in mid February), and this is only my second attempt at NMM. It\'s giving me some trouble.
I\'m not sure what areas I should work on to improve the look... but if you have any suggestions, I\'d be really appreciative.

I think its spot on from the waist down but needs more highlights on the upper half.

Tim that bust is superb.
James that skintone is superb, paint the feet and if they dont match then dirty them up with some dust to match the colour of the base.

tidoco i\'ve enjoyed watchin the progress of the bust :bouncy: all of the colours seem so bright and vibrant, just as a bretonnian lord should be

tbh i don\'t think it could have been done better unless you aproached it in a completely different style, but i don\'t neccessarily think a different style would have worked with this mini, so its all good :D
