Just finished my dead King Leonidas. I feel there is something it needs, so please let me know if you have any ideas to improve. Thanks,

-James

@Medved: Gollum is great, reminds of the exact scene, great work on the expression!
@James: Your dead King looks great, I don\'t think there\'s really anything missing.

The dead Leonicas. He looks like the Pieta\'. The only thing I would do is make him a bit more beat up and dirty. He looks quite clean for having just died in hand to hand combat. The blood on the \'fish scales\' could go from brighter to darker blood as the blood flows down. Well done so far.

@james you may want to add some bloodstaining around the arrow that has pierced his chest other than that I think he looks fine.

@Wolf_Fang your marine is looking good.

Hey Joshua, that looks great! Are the leaves just premade and you glue them on or what?
One suggestion: Looks great, but maybe you could blend the rust into the plain metal a little more, like you did in the segment with the white painted onto the floor. It doesn\'t look bad, in fact it looks awesome, I just thought you might want an outside opinion. Can\'t wait to see the finished widowmaker, the SENMM gold was looking great.

thanks for you opionions, i thought about the bolts but then decided that i wanted it ready for painting in no time so i left the braces as they were, to save drying time ;)

i wasnt sure about blending the rust too much as \"rust\" usually doenst blend in the metal at all, it has a rather harsh transfer
Rust-02.jpg

and i think that the widowmaker standing at the top will draw the attention away from the rust beneath her but i\'ll wait how it looks with her on top and then change it like you suggested if it isnt working :)
cheers

ah btw the leafs are h&a forest litter, pva glued onto the base, and painted after applying a thin layer of pva glue to flatten the surface

Josh I think the rust looks fine as it is, and now for my latest. Elluvari the superhero, scourge of the Necromundan underhive and outcast of his own people all who know of him know real fear etc etc, as this is a realy dramatic pose I thought of him as a superhero type so I went for bright superhero type pants.

He is coming along nicely and I am pleased with the way the skin tone has turned out .

Wow

@Tidoco - that skin came out really well! What did you use to shade the white pants? You are just a painting machine!

@stef686 - Welcome to the forums! Your marine is looking pretty sharp too. the face could use a tad more shading on the skin, looks a little bleached out. Armor is coming along nicely!

Yeah the lighting in that photo makes the face a bit bright, it isn\'t actually that bright although I\'m planning to give it a couple of glazes of flesh wash. Thanks for the welcome :)

Thanks mate.
It isn\'t going to be gold, it\'s only one coat of Vallejo Buff over white, It will be a sort of bone colour when finished:)
