Thanks, all. The color scheme is definitely a \"dangerous\" one, as it can very easily look like Crown Royal, and everyone here should know by now I prefer Captain Morgan\'s.
Playing with metallics again is really kind of cool. I think that all the NMM work I was doing has really helped me with real metallics. Plus, I\'ve figured out how to use Vallejo metallics (the plain acrylics, not alcohol-based) with tweening, so I\'m a happy camper.
Also... the Vallejo Metallic Medium is
the bomb. According to their blurb on their website, you can add a bit of this stuff to regular metallics to lighten their tone without reducing their, uh, metallicness. Basically, it\'s like adding white metallic. Makes getting some nice gradients in metallics much easier, and more natural looking.
Still, after Eric\'s and some of the other posts in this thread, I don\'t know why I bother with this camera... doesn\'t look anything like the model, and that\'s as close as I can get to it, too.
