Thanks Josh, I think your work is excellent and shows that the time you take is time well spent.

@ Aragorns Mate even though you took that pic with a web cam it still looks nice.

@ provoke_me the Orc is looking good, also I like the tanks are they 1/72 scale I think I like the Panzer variant more than the Churchill, I would be inclined to get an upgrade pack of separate track links rather than use the rubber supplied ones.

@TAB - the angle looks lovely, I see you went with the dark hair :) and I like the stairway idea!

@Orb - wow, face on that guy looks real, nice work!

@Tidoco - you are a painting machine my friend... do you eat and sleep like the rest of us??? ;)

Cheers,
Grumb

Secret Crocodile
Couldn\'t resist it.....I bought a pack of gnoblar trappers to practice on...pimp daddy just had to be started :D

He is not easy in the slightest to get a piccie of. His skin is actually layered from shadow grey up to bleached bone. He will be getting a purple furry coat and plenty of bling :D

@ Fizl, Shaz that is looking cool I haven\'t started my trappers yet so I may pinch an idea or two off you. :D

Today I fancied a bit of a change, this bust was a Christmas gift from my son and I thoght it was high time I made a start on it. The truth is I like the piece but I detest painting human skin tones but I thought I would take the bull by the horns and make a start.

BretonianBustWIP.jpg

I like how it looks so far I am painstakingly working the skintones up with very thin layers of paint I only have GW colours to work with and though I like their paints I think there skin tones could be more realistic. Anyway my idea is to get the face done so I can spend time on the bit I am realy looking forward to and that is the Heraldry.

@TABStudios - Really like the contrast of the dark hair! That is going to be awesome when its completely done. What is happening to me - first I paint a fairy and now I\'m gushing over an angel.....

Here is a dead Persian that I am working on for a diarama. This is the first time I am using freehand (the shield and his tunic). I guess I just want some tips or comments. Thanks in advance!

That is looking good james be sure to post more as you get further along with it. Another shot of my Bretonian this time with more done to the face, I do not want to get too light with the skintone as I want that tired in the saddle kind of look to him.
I would like to make him look a little dirty in the face but I am not sure how to achieve it with GW colour so I may not do that. I think he is just crying out for blue eyes being so noble and all.

@ TAB I am realy looking forward to seeing yours finished.

I am sorry if I seem to be hogging tis thread but I am making hay while the sun shines so to speak. The Bretonian is coming along nicely I have pretty much finished the face and I am particularly happy with the eyes though the gloss varnish is reflecting the lightsource back somewhat.

BretonianBustWIP2.jpg

Now I am onto the part I am realy looking forward to and that is the heraldry. I am off to my library to do some studying.

Dang, thats looking really good Tidocco2222. I love the face. Do you think the blue could go another highlight?(only an idea). I hope the rest comes out just as nice.

-James

p.s. I don\'t mind all your pictures of your wip\'s, it is a good motivation for me which I need a lot of.

I didn\'t want to go to far with the highlights as there will be some heraldry there and I didn\'t want to go to all the trouble just to cover some of it up. When the design is on then I will possibly add further highlights to the remaining areas outside the heraldic design. You WIP is looking good btw.

hey tidoco2222, im very impressed by your work rate, and exceptional quality of your work that youve produeced in these last few days, cant wait to see the bret all done and dusted, he looks an awsome sculpt

on another note, on my space marine commander, his cape is just flat and has no detail, and i am planning to sculpt all of the outer side in fur, rather than keep it the boring flat cape, and was wondering can i just put the green stuff onto the cape and then sculpt it or will i have to glue the green stuff on then model it?

thanks

Yeah.. Tim, your work is great and at that speed ! Just... mucho  Looking forward to seeing the Knight finished..

Gez, Greenstuff will stick very easily to plastic and metal, just make sure the surface is dry.
