Nice work, everybody...If somebody hasn\'t already done this, I\'d like to applaud Gez for startin\' this thread in the first place.

This isn\'t really a WIP, as he\'s basically done, but I don\'t wanna take full body shots until he\'s matted down a bit, since the shine really kills such a small figure (as I discovered on my Mantis Assassin). It\'s really wet here, and he\'s a GD entry, so I don\'t want to risk the spray ruining him on account of humidity.... Could be a long while till he\'s up on CMON (or a few days )

I realize the his left eye makes him look a bit funny, but no way am I trying to redo that.

That is fantastic Nelson! I have painted him before, and those hobbit heads (and everything elselol) are tiny! Good luck at Games Day (I won\'t be able to go this year because there is a school retreat that weekend).

Wow I didn\'t think my Bret would get such a positive response, thanks guys. I have done the easy part so I may take a bit longer to do the Heraldry.

james that dead guy is looking very good the dioram should be excellent if this is the standard you are aiming for.

Nelso Bilbo looks fantastic I have painted a few LOTR minis but not yet done a hobit as they are so small. Great work.

Well, here is the dead Persian completed. Now I just have 3 Spartans and a dead Spartan king; oh yea, and the base . How do you stick two pictures together to submit as one?

No prob, ment to ask what did you use on the base other then the cotton? :bouncy:

i made the under form with Styrofoam and plaster soaked news paper applications then Pva the cotton of two textures to it and pulled it out to fluff.

Tracy your mini looks fantastic I\'ve been out of it fir a couple of days as my pc has been playing up. Anyway here is another shot of the Bret with some of the Heraldry on, the Fleure de Lise the symbol of purity and the Tower a symbol of strength. The shields around the neckline are personal Heraldry from his own realm.

Now for the shield wich is going to bear the colours of a grail knight (hopefully).
