Work In Progress

thanks, i used a vallejo yellow, looked like THE standart yellow to me but i guess it doenst matter what kind of yellow you use, i would have liked a more orange-like tone but hey, whatever ^^
i mixed in some snakebite leather to darken it like you can see on the still basecoated areas
for the browns i used scorched brown or vallejo flat brown (pretty much the same) and a little vermin brown for a smoother transition between yellow and dark brown
i think scorched brown tends to give you some really strange hues if mixed with lighter colors like bleached bone, yellow or white :\\

edit: lol hoax! i checked your gallery and you are the one with the beatiful orc bust and tau suite ... not to mention your st celestine, your gold nmm looks awesome! scammer :bouncy:

@Joshua- that gold SENMM looks excellent, I agree that you should not redo it, as for the smaller bits all I can suggest is to give it another go :D. I was going to try some gold NMM on the one I am painting at the moment, have\'nt tried gold before so it should be interesting.
Well here is a picture of my latest WIP, its another Eldar Exarch. I have not done much painting for about a month (damn internet games :D) so its good to get back into it. Any comments or suggestions for some gold NMM would be great.

wow this one is gonna get even better than your swooping hawk exarch! i really love the red to orange to yellow blends, very smooth and full of atmosphere :)
im not sure where to do gold nmm on this, not many free areas ;)
moreover i think that nmm wouldnt do well with the red and orange blending, it would be lost in the blends but of course you can prove me wrong, im not good in contrast and color theory stuff ;)

Awesome stuff Joshua! Looks amazing, \'cept maybe for the red scribbly bits in your latest WIP. :)

Brother Tom, nice vibrant reds you\'ve got going there...

(the head isn\'t done on this yet) The light source is still a bit experimental, gotta refine it a bit. One thing I need some help on is the little green splotch on his left..ermm..breast. I wanted to make it look like a gash with some alien blood leaking down, but it really just looks like a smear of crap. Any ideas on improvements?

Nelson, I admire your work. I hope you take home a trophie(s) if you enter LA!

I\'ve picked up the brush again after my recent illness. Did the back of Gandalfs cloak today.. did a bit of dust and dirt.. a fair amount really.. :)

I always get excited when it comes to weathering. (More I waant MOORE!!) Did I do to much? Should I redo it?

Gotta be a Sandra Garrity sculpt. I\'m working on a very similar one currently. Good luck with the eyes...

Yeah, I need all the luck I can get with those. Just two eye-shaped holes sunken into her head, so much fun trying to paint, grrrrr...

Anyway, here\'s the most recent WIP shot:

Duende;

Like the way yours turned out. I\'m having fits with mine. I tried a new retarder when I was working on the cloak, and the paint dried very strangly. Anyway, here she is at present.

gollum\'s got that sinking feeling!

hi guys this is how it is progressing for me. its at a near finished state (basically if you guys tell me something is seriously wrong with it then i will paint some more! lol) remember this guy is seriously tiny (about 15 mm high or half a space marine)

please cast your vote here for gollum

and for those of you lazy beggars here are some massive pics

Very nice work Medved, pretty good OSL and the face is very expressive (PAIN), gave it an 8.

Out of curiosity, what did you use to make the base?

Cheers,
Grumb
