Great job Klute. I like the sword. I think the base could maybe use something else though.

Here is the latest of my first Rackham; a Guardian of the Runes. I did glue the blade back on using NSA\'s tip, but it fell of again, but that is only because I am using dirt cheap, drug-store super glue. Anyway, we are off for spring break, so I did a good bit of painting on my first day off. The blade took me forever, but I am very pleased with it.

No, that\'s not allowed. You must bathe the blade in brake fluid to cleanse it of shame.

:D

That is very, very awesome, James. :)

Brake fluid? I think not, using reference definitely deserves sulfuric acid. Lots and lots of sulfuric acid.

Honestly though, wow (mind you the black line on the outside edge could use a teeny bit of blending in ;))

It shows James, excellent work  I know the feeling it took me over an hour to do a normal sword blade..... :( :D

wow, thanks for the comments everyone.

@CUKIER- I used a really dark grey for the base. Then I added fortress grey, and some enchanted blue, but it doesn\'t show at all (I was trying to get the blue effect that Alexi-Z got, but I didnt). Then I worked up to a 50/50 mix of the dark grey/fortress grey. Then fortress grey and finally white.

Thanks again for all the comments:)

Here\'s a bit of an experimental piece I\'m working on, using washes of thinned inks to shade. Thus far, I think it\'s turning out decently.
