Eric - I was thinking along the same lines as BrokenEnglish, since you are going for an aquatic theme, what if you paint the leather pieces as if they were made from sharkskin or something similar. Then you can use blues and greys.

that`s a cool looking base. when i saw it i`ve just imagined a glowy water, with a treasure hidded in it and a brute standing on stones over it. sorry , just my idea, definitely influenced by a pirate movie i watched a couple of days ago :p .

Przemek,,,,,thats what I had in mind but to get the water over it would have to be built up high on at least one side.Bit to much effort.

yes I know :). that was just a thought. on the other hand I wish to see someone trying to make a base with glowing water effect. you know the kind you see on the movies, when there`s a cave with a lake ,with a light source under the water which gives this green-blue ermm... glow :D

Wow... where\'d you get the treasure chest? Kind of want to convert it to a boobie trapped on for a diarama:D

Sorry for large pics, i resized them all now! :)

Hello all, first timer here, just registered :)

Here\'s a few of my WIP; first is Seraphim Sister Superior MeltaBomb/Eviscerator conversion Armor colors are Red ink/blood red highlights, cloth magenta ink/red gore highlights

Inquisitor I finished. It looks frosty because it is, I matted it outside right after sundown and I live in a coastal area in the northern part of my state, so it got cold, and the frost didn\'t disappear. I did an awesome job painting it, I was really happy with it, but the matte spray ruining that is a bit depressing. C\'est la vie.

last one, it\'s a Space marine captain. I\'m trying to get practice at doing edging highlights, building them up gradually. Mainly like Thomas Schadle\'s earlier black Templars, mine is pretty rough though.

Blending on the cape was hard as I primed it black, I built up with skull white then did a few washes of bleached bone with 2-3 washes of skull white on the raised portions of the cape.

Sorry for the long post, thank you for the responses!

Also, what is a good way to do eyes? I\'m trying to figure out the best way for me.

wow, um, that is big, do you have photoshop or some program to resize them smaller?

Ok, so the dragyri is a bit further along, but I\'m now stuck on what to do for the leather leg, how many times is too many to post a WIP?

welcome to the fourms

well alot of times you can resize them in a photoshop type program...in a pinch you can use paint...

@eric...the face is beautiful...

I would say that as long as there has been substantial progress on the mini i know i personally like to see progress shots! and if it helps you...im down! :flip:

If you need help, I\'m also sure someone could resize them for you as well, and definately welcome to the forums! it\'s always nice to see someone post up their work right as they arrive :) (even in huge size)

okok, if it\'s not a problem, let me go take a photo of the girl! :) but just because becca said I could, blame her!
