Ah but I can agree with you here (although I think you are right, we\'re in the minority)! 300 was very, very poor. Perhaps I\'d have to stick it in the category of vastly overrated rather than worst ever (because it does have some visual style at least) but in all it\'s vacuous, soulless, characterless nonsense and boring as hell.

Crow THREE!??
How can they have a crow THREE??

Didn\'t Brandon Accidentally shoot himself in the head (I kid you not) on the set of the second film... ?

No.

He was accidentally shot in the abdomen by someone else on the set of the first movie. It was completed after his death.

He was accidentally shot. In the scene where all of the bad guys are in the room around the table, one of the guns had live rounds.

Worst movies (for me):

Titantic (got dragged to it and I\'m still pissed about it)
Last of the Mohicans (got dragged to that one, too)
Any of the Batman movies (other than Batman Begins) after the first Tim Burton one
\"Episode\" 1 - 3 of Star Wars (midi-chlorians? are you freaking kidding me? And has anyone over at Lucasfilms heard of continuity?)

The Ladykillers starring Tom Hanks was the first movie I ever went to and almost walked out of. That movie was the biggest piece of crap I have ever seen.

As for sci-fi movies, either Fantastic 4 movie sucked as did the D&D movies (they even made a second one that was WORSE than the first!).

I cant decide between The Zombie Diaries and The Patriot.

The Zombie Diaries I hate for a number of reasons.
1. I can say without bragging or exageration that I can make a better horror/documentary/zombie film with my own camcorder and a C in A level film studies. These guys had cameras that cost at least £2000 and went to film school. A word of advice, BUY A FRICKIN TRIPOD! Just because its the apocalyse is no excuse for such shoddy camerawork. \"but its shakey because its documentary style!\" I\'ve seen news reports filmed by people being shot at and bombed and they managed to keep the camera steady. A bunch of students being chased by extremely slow moving zombies have no excuse.
2. The acting. More wooden than the chair I\'m sitting on. In one scene one of the zombies have somehow sneaked up on them and is biting one of the characters who is sitting in the passenger seat of a car. He just sits there, no struggling or even moving. But it gets worse, his wife/girlfriend/mistress/sex slave upon seeing her beloved being eaten alive by a walking corpse says (not shouts or screams) \"oh no. oh no. oh god. oh no. no\" as though he had accidentally spilt red wine on the new carpet. Then follows an hilarious bit where the artist character beats the zombie todeath with their rifle. But not by smashing its head in with the butt like any sensible person would do, oh no. He swings it arround like a baseball bat, holding onto the barrel!
3. The lack of sense making in the plot. Ok, I get that theres 3 groups of people, all of whom just happen to have a camcorder on them. What I dont get is why does random Welsh bloke go nuts at the end and kill everyone with his gun. I mean I know why he does it but why does he do it? I mean my best guess is to shoehorn the old classic \"teh humanz r wors then teh zombis!\" bit into the last 10 minutes. Except they completely forgot that they kinda needed to set up that he may be a wrong \'un earlier in the film beyond him being a bit pissed at having to clean up the mess he made. Apparently the Welsh go from slightly irked to homicidal maniac at the drop of a hat. I suppose its supposed to be a shock, unpredictable ending but it fell flat on its face because it came out of nowhere. They may aswell have had George Washington ride in and shoot all the zombies with a flintlock pistol and it would have been exactly the same ammount of confusion.
4. The director is a liar and a twonk. All over the cover are burst proclaiming it \"the most realistic zombie film ever!\" \"terrifying!\" and other such catchprhases. What they dont tell you is that the reason why SFX magazine gave it such a glowing review is because the director is best mates with guy who writes the horror reviews. I have since switched to the funnier, thicker and cheaper Empire. All those sites he has saying its the zombie equivalent of The Godfather or Citizen Cane? Noones heard of them. Any tosser can go up to a minor website and say \"hey mate, if you say my film is the best thing since Where Eagles Dare, I\'ll make sure your webaddress is printed on every DVD case\" Go to IMDB and go on the zombie diaries message board. Its a frickin warzone between the director, the cast and crew, their cronies and people who feel robbed. The director activly goes and trolls other zombie message boards including the one for Romero\'s Diary of the Dead. Yeah somehow I think George A Romero and Danny Boyle may be a slightly better filmmakers than a bunch of film school tossers who cant hold a camcorder still.
5. This is so obviously a cheap, knock off cash in I\'m supprised they werent working for Asylum (makers of such greats as Snakes on a Train, I AM OMEGA and Transmorphers). Released on dvd the same week 28 Weeks Later is out in cinemas and a more or less direct rip of Diary of the Dead. In a world where you instantly pass just for spelling your own name right, these guys needed to copy off their neighbor.
6. I paid an entire 6 of my Great British pounds on this piece of trash. I thank the film gods that they granted me the wisdom to buy it from the local second hand shop instead of paying full whack from HMV.
7. These guys got into film school and I didnt?! Not that I\'m bitter or anything, as I write this at 20 to 4 on a Sunday morning...

I hate The Patriot for the fact Mel Gibson essentially took the book \"Colonial American History for Beginners\", got a big bucket of whitewash, painted out everything and wrote on every page in red white and blue sharpie \"THE ENGLISH ARE BASTARDS!!!!\". Not the British, the English, might I add. Gibson must have been beaten up by an English Jewish girl when he was at school. Apparently he\'s got his hands on Boudicca now aswell. Instead of being Queen of the Iceni she\'s now a peasant fighting for her rights against the opressive Romans (who undoubtably will have English accents). Which is quite a feat considering the Feudal System and the very concept of peasants would\'nt be invented for another thousand or so years.

Actually I think I\'ve proven which one I hate more lol

Friar

Dorks for Orks
the Patriot was pretty damn horrid, some alright action but the rewrite of colonial america was retarded and really drives me nuts truth can suck in some ways but it\'s alot better then eating a turd sandwhich.

the king arthur movie with sean connery and richard gear was a trainwreck

Godzilla the one with Ferris Bueller in it, if it ain\'t a japanese guy in a rubber suit it shouldn\'t be labelled godzilla totally false advertising

gonna have to check this dark city movie out never even heard of it lol

PegaZus

Stealth Freak
Hmm... looks like I was able to avoid most of the common terrible movies as I wouldn\'t pay to go see them in the first place. So, dropping down to the movies I actually HAVE seen I guess the loser would have to be Wizards (1977).

Dark City is an interesting fantasy with some great acting from a number of top actors; sure it\'s not high cinema, or The Matrix (which it suffers against when compared) but then few things are.

And Waterworld is not nearly as bad as its detractors constantly make it out to be. So there.

Well there you go - both of those are utter tosh to me as a history buff. I can\'t even begin to get across how execrable I think the first is and the list of things that are sub-par in Braveheart (starting with Mel Gibson\'s accent) would fill the first page of this thread.

Challenge for you next time you watch Gladiator: count the togas ;)

Your loss x2. Titanic has really past its best viewing window but it\'s a solid, well-made film in many respects. And it has some nice boobies too lest we forget.

...

Now really guys, delve down below the sludge at the bottom of the barrel here, really scrape the wood. Bring up things like Ticker, Plan 9 From Outer Space, Zoolander*, Jaws 4: The Revenge and Ishtar.

*Okay, just thought I\'d throw that in there, see if anyone was paying attention.

Nobs. I don\'t have to get hit by a truck to know it\'s not an experience I will enjoy. Neither of those movies have any hope of having even a slight level of enjoyment from me.

And if I want to see nice boobies I will check on my wife when she showers!

You guys realize that 300 was the adaptation of the graphic novel right? Considering that . . . look at it from the artistic point of view. The way they filmed the movie and the look of it was edgy and brilliant. It basically is the graphic novel come to life. Which was their goal and considering that it was very well done.

Have y\'all ever seen the original 300 Spartans? If not, go see it. Then you may appreciate the remake based on the graphic novel a bit more.

I enjoyed it from the artistic and historical point of view. The Battle of Thermopylae is one of my favorite battles in history. Reading the Greek historian, Herodtus\'s account of the battle just amazes me. I thought it was very cool to see it come to life on the big screen in a dramatic way.

Oh and the worst movies I\'ve ever seen include Cave Dwellers and EeGah!

Utter Crap that I paid money to see.....

Diabolique with Sharon Stone
Fair Game
The Weather Man
Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me
Clooney\'s Batman flick
Eyes Wide Shut
Sliver
Mortal Thoughts
Falling Down
Disclosure

15 Movies I could watch over and over....

The Sting
Hunt for Red October
The Long Good Friday
Heat ( Pacino/DeNiro NOT Burt Reynolds )
Matrix .... only the original....
12 Monkeys
Seven Samurai
Casino Royale
Get Shorty
Them ( you know, the giant ants.....)
Shawshank
Green Mile
Where Eagles Dare
Guns of Navarone
Aliens

and the 5 best movie I\'ve ever seen that I don\'t ever want to see again....

Schindler\'s List
Ghandi
Cape Fear ( DeNiro, not Mitchum )
Blue Velvet
African Queen

Got to agree with you here Dark City is a very unusual movie and has been filmed more like a Science Fiction book than normal Hollywood allows movies to be. It has overtones of Phillips K Dick\'s work in it\'s approach. Very enjoyable.

And Waterworld is not nearly as bad as its detractors constantly make it out to be. So there.
Watched it, not as bad as it\'s made out. Made better by one thing for me, Jeanne Tripplehorn.

Don\'t mind Gladiator, despite it\'s flaws. Braveheart. Sorry utter garbage. Another one of the reasons why I\'ve begun to dislike Gibson.

J=Lo\'s earlier works are far better than some of the \"Hollywood\" garbage. Although \"Shall We Dance\" is enjoyable.
Battlefield Earth Please I\'ve eaten this year. :|~

Yes I was. Thankfully I decided to miss Zoolander. Sadly Ben Stiller has only made two good movies= \"Keeping the Faith\" & \"Night at the Museum\"
He, like Adam Sandler, seems to only have one character in his acting repertoire.

Bit of a close tie on the movie agreements, but on the subject of Worst Film Ever.
My nominations:
A.I.
White Noise
Daredevil Ok I bought a copy so sue me.
Ice Pirates:|~
Psycho I really think that has to be one of the most grossly over-rated movies going.
Kes Forced to read the book (Kestrel for a Knave) at school. Hated it.
Lord of the Flies Ditto.
The Ladykillers Not the original Ealing Classic but the Tom Hanks remake.
The Killing of Sister George.
Network

But these are just my opinions, please feel free to disagree with them. :D

Despite the historical inaccuracies I really like Gladiator. Some great action, acting and a superb music score.

Now, to the worst...

Species. Just plain derivative with an obvious ending. I didn\'t go to the cinema again for three years after that (okay, there were other circumstances as to why but that film didn\'t help).

Dungeons&Dragons: Bad acting, bad script, bad direction, bad cgi, just plain awful.

King Arthur: One dimensional \"baddies\", pacing seemed off, Merlin et al having subtitles for when they\'re speaking their own language but the Saxons not (?). The more I\'ve thought about that film, the less I like it.

Fizl

Secret Crocodile
The Blair Witch Project.

Only film I have REALLY wanted to leave part way through.

And the only film to make me feel sea sick in the cinema - that really has to be a first.

To be honest I haven\'t really watched that many bad films.
The worst Ive seen is Fantastic 4, I think - utter shite. And Open Season, when my friends and I weren\'t allowed in to see Hot Fuzz. That was utter shite, too. And the Starsky & Hutch film. I\'ve enjoyed most of the films I\'ve seen.

I reckon my 2 worst would probably be Showgirls or Catwoman, both of which I never hesitate to recommend to my worst enemies :)
