Worst. Film. Ever.

And I\'m not talking about movies that are so bad that they\'re actually quite good, like Brain dead or 50\'s B movies...

I went to see \"Alvin and the chipmunks\" today - NOT OUT OF CHOICE :p But with my two nephews.

It\'s one of those films that TRIES really hard to be funny ALLL the time... But fails miserably...

Just wondering what other people thought were some of the worst films in existence?

I got roped into a similar thing with my nephews and FORCED myself to go see Pokemon the Movie..............:possessed: I actually paid good money to go and suffer through it.:drunk:

Heh, I skipped on the Chipmunks option and went to see No Country For Old Men today, so I\'m in rather more of a \"Yay I watched something awesome!\" mood. Well, it\'s not exactly a \"Yay!\" inducing film to tell the truth what with the undercurrent of savagery and melancholy, but you get the idea.

As far as worst film... I really am struggling to think of something... Oh no, hang on, Coyote Ugly. What the hell was that all about eh? And Showgirls. So bad it couldn\'t even titillate me when I was a hormonally unstable, pubescent teen. I pity Kyle MacLachlan for being involved with that filth.

The one that springs immediately to my mind is that final fantasy advent calendar children thing.

I rented it just to see what all the hype was about and my thoughts when it ended went along the lines of \"thats an hour or so of my life I\'ll never get back....\"

I quite liked waterworld - yes, it was a colossal bomb and lost a bunch of money, but I thought it was quite funny.

I don\'t just mean Kevin Costner\'s \"acting\" lol

People like you shouldn\'t be allowed to vote. If you\'ve committed a felony, or own an Ashlee Simpson CD, or liked Waterworld....no vote for you. :D

Waterworld was pretty cool. They should have left out the comedy part of it and made it more violent.

Battlefield Earth was garbage. Any J Lo movie also sucks. Snakes On A Plane.. garbage...

Er, Waterworld was certainly acceptable if not brilliant. I find your choosing it as a puke inducing movie far more dubious than DaN kinda liking it to be honest. As for it losing a bunch of money, It made a little cash in the end I think. Just not a lot due to the huge budget.

And Dark City, that\'s up there in the top 10% or so of things I\'ve seen and I seem to remember quite a lot of folks here are into it.

You\'ve obviously watched very little or got really lucky with your choices mattrock. Perhaps broaden out and check the work of Uwe Boll to really understand filmic horror of puke inducing proportions!

I agree, Dark City was a fantastic film. It\'s one of the few films where I genuinely didn\'t see the forehead slapping twist coming a mile off (unlike such piles of poo as sixth sense which i had sussed from the advert).

That and it has the delectable Ms Jennifer Connelly in it

Three words...

ENTER... ZOMBIE KING

2 hours I don\'t get back. Jim the Anvil Neidhart was the big star of the movie. I love zombie movies but this one was neither, scary, provacative, funny, or entertaining... just bad.
:(
I\'m two hours closer to dead because of this movie, and the real tragedy is that I didn\'t die before it was over.

Maybe I shouldn\'t be allowed to vote. :(

I friggin hated both of those movies. Gladiator and Braveheart are my favorites though...am I an oddball there too?

Gladiator was good - although a lil\' cheesy and sentimental towards the end. Braveheart... Hmm... I can\'t really get past an Australian/American-wannabe playing a French/German-Scot (Although at least he attempted an accent) and the historical innacuracies - although not as blatant as the outright LYING of U234 (Or whatever that U boat film was where the Americans stole the enigma machine)

Course you can vote. It\'s your opinion, stick to it and fight for it! :D

As for Gladiator and Braveheart, I\'d say they are both competent hero movies that entertain to a fair degree, but don\'t have a lot more going for them than that. They impressed me when I first saw them but haven\'t stood the test of time as classics. Once again, that doesn\'t mean they are bad, or that you shouldn\'t enjoy them, or that my view is correct.

For me though, they are lacking any real depth beyond the gritty adrenaline pumping battle scenes. I think Dark City has a lot more to offer than them in almost every way, from idea to story to visuals, perhaps even performances.

I\'d throw Braveheart and Gladiator into the same sort of realm as Waterworld to be honest (although they are both quite a bit more coherant than Costner\'s effort) as popcorn flicks.

I was also VERY heavily dissappointed by 300 which I already know puts me in the minority. I was so very excited to see that movie from the trailers and it played out like a cheesy video game to me.

Guess we\'ll have to agree to disagree on movies. (though I think we can probably both loathe Ashlee Simpson no?)

Worst movies I had to sit through ( got this little thing that once I start watching a movie I have to finish it :\'( ).

Dracula 2000 .
Spider Man 1/2 and that travesty number 3 Sam Raimi should hold his head in shame or even better just take a small jump off a tall building.
Druids staring Christophe Lambert, loved the book by Morgan Llywelyn as a kid still not bad to read.
Star Was the crap trilogy if I had a Deathstar Skywalker Ranch would be toast hell blowing up the earth in the process would be a small price to pay for killing George Lucas. He Destroyed a hole universe for me.
