Eldar War Walker

Painted in Humbrol enamels. My idea is that the walker and armour are made of ceramics and other non-metallic materials, unlike human technology. I think flames are valid artwork or heraldry for any alien race, as fire is the same anywhere in the galaxy.

I'm sorry Levdir, but 7? Completely ignoring the medium here, this is a model with no highlight, no shading and an unfinished base. How can you rate a model painted in base colours only as above tabletop quality? Granted it's neatly painted, but the colours clash horribly. I won't penalise for enamels - maybe thats all he had - but the other factors make this a 5, -1 for the base (or lack of, as the case may be).

With the noted exception of NSA, you people are all dicks. So what if he used enamels? The point is to rate the paintjob, not whine about the materials. Rant out of the way, this is a pretty good paint job. The fire looks excellent, very clean and stylized. The colour scheme feels a bit garish, but I really like the banner. Kudoes to you for thinking outside the box in terms of materials and whatnot, cermics make good sense. Well done.

Fire isn't red at the base. It's yellow. So apparently fire ISN'T the same anywhere- it's reversed on some planets! Besides, you are in fact wrong about fire eing the same anywhere. Depending on the atmosphere it will be using a different fuel apart from oxygen to burn, hence a different color pattern. Enamels should die. I give 4 for paint job, -1 for enamel.
