The Painter (Stripped Bare Before His Critics)

Sort of an "allegorical" piece about the frustration and pressure of trying to improve one's technique in the face of even benevolent criticism. Don't get me wrong, I REALLY value all the feedback and advice I've received from my fellow CMONers over the years here. But seeing one's work in comparison to the very best can be paralyzing. After all, the harshest critic is always yourself!

"seeing one's work in comparison to the very best can be paralyzing" but you are still doing things the way it pleases you. That composition proves it! Agree w/ supervike. I wonder if all the 10-rated artists do really enjoy painting minis in the way they did when started the hobbie... On the critic side, If someday I pay tribute to this piece, I will use an epic scale marine on the hand of the painter :)
