Dirz Biopsist

My latest mini... New pic, quite lighter... I hadn't realized the previous one was so dark. I didn't know what to paint and I picked this Dirz up, this is the result after a few hours work. Well, overall I like him even if he was rushed.... I don't know if I'd have had the pateince to spend more time on a model that quite nice, sure, but not great. I try plaster for the rock on the base, I'll use that more often. As for the colors used, well, GW acrylics mostly, all their browns (mostly scorched brown, bestial brown, snakebite leather), catachan green, scorpion green, golden yellow, bleached bone, blazing orange, blood red, bubonic brown, but also Vallejo red leather and orange brown, dark prussian blue, irakii sand, and that should be all. Oils for the skin. Boltgun metal, black, mithril silver and enamels for the metal. And acrylics browns and reds for the rust. I'd say that's all... Your comments are welcome!

Beautiful work...moody, dark...everything that a Dirz should be. The basing works with the overall scheme, and I like the subtle colors/shades. Nice work.

a very nice model (although i don't like the sculpt of his left hand - not really your fault). smooth painting and very nice metallics. it's also nice to have a little desciption like this as it makes it more personal.
