Dark Angels 3rd Company Commander

My first model in over a decade. I had to make it a complex conversion, despite the fact it made it a toal pain to prepare and paint. I'm relatively happy with the result though, even though I've painted better (although I havent converted better) since. Good table top I'd say. What do you think? Thanks!

man that looks great, you should try some with the full capes like ezekiel or asmodai, i am a dark angels player as well but personally i'm not a fan of the green colour scheme, but your paintjob rocks esp the sword!

the wings fit on the head really well. the cape could look a little better i think, i love the flames on the sword. i just flat out love the mini 9 being a DA player myself great job man

Thanks QM! I appreciate the advice, and I'll give it a try when I get around to painting my Dark Angels robes. I may try the ink wash method, specifcally, as I'm getting more confidence with wash control now. I had nothing but trouble getting the cream colours blended on this piece, and as it was the first model back it really had me pulling my hair out! This was about the 4th attempt at getting it right. More patience in order next time methinks. Thanks again!
