If you want a backdrop for mini photos, I suggest you use coloured paper or a magazine photo instead of Photoshopping like this. It looks bad, IMO. Just buy a book of children's construction paper. I can't really complain about the "spoofed" base (it actually wasn't a bad idea), but you should have mentioned it with the original post in the interests of "full disclosure"...
Yes, the base was doctored to make it look flocked, the reason i did this was that the photo (which admittedly was of poor quality) was taken before i had actually flocked the minature.
