Misan Le Clairvoyant

Another fig for an upcoming DnD campaign. This was a very fun figure to paint ... lots of great detail. Having never painted smoke before, I was quite pleased w/ how it turned out.

The wizard looks like a figure straigth out of a comic or cartoon. I love that kind of paint-style, it makes the model look MORE fantasy-like. The colourpalet used is limited but really effective, the fact that you-ve limited the colourdepth and matter of detail on the robes complements the acessoires the wizard holds. You probably used washes on the model, this is a simple painting method, but in this case supebly fulfilled! The acessoires, the books, skull, candle etc. are the best part of the whole mini. All in all, very colour- and characterfull mini.

I have always been a BIG fan of this figure... and your paint job shows why. This guy has so much character when done right. You nailed a great color scheme... especially mirrored in the colors of the books. And the detailed freehand line-work in the tome looks very intriguing as well. I am very jealous of this mini!

another great work again, Jim! The smoke and the book are fantastic - especially the smoke - very realistic
