A sharper photo would help identify some issues. Also, the gloss/flash makes it look bad. Setting those aside for now... your wash looks a little gloppy, she looks like she's been rolling in mud. Maybe some additional fine touch ups on the flesh would help, also some cleanup highlighting on the hem and various strappy bits. I don't see highlight in the hair, just solid color. Ditto the white cloak. Looks like you did ok on the blue parts. Theres some black spots/shadow on the white cloak that needs cleaned up or repainted, or taken at another angle to hide it. :)

Okay buddy. I am not the best painter in the world but from what I hear I am pretty good. I am actually interested in painting this mini myself so you got the taste in minis. The paint is thick. I use Citadel paints and water works just fine for me. Next try layering your paint to get more depth in your minis. What I mean is use more colors. Start with the deepest color and bring it our to the lightest. Just like you have it but with 8-10 layers. Sounds like it takes forever and..well..it does sometimes. You sound like you want to improve so theres some kind of advice. Keep practiceing and dont hesitate to ask me questions.

I am using a combination of vallejo and citadel paints. i thin them down with a mix of water and liquitex slo-dry basically a 50/50 mix. the model actually looks better in person. i'm still trying to get my picture studio working right, and have gotten a new digital camera that is tough to get the hang of. that may be why she is so "chunky" looking. i need better brushes as well, reaper brushes aren't the greatest, and i'm used to using winsor newton series 7. anyway thanks for the comments.
