Freya Halgarsdottir, Reaper Viking girl #2939

This is another attempt at flesh. i know i need 3 things, 1-better brushes, 2-a good mini photo studio, and 3-patience. Let me know how i am doing, here, all you pros out there. I want to get up to the high 7's and 8's here, so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. also, advice on what brushes are best, and paints. this was painted with vallejo and GW paints, and i'll save my opinions for the latter. I would like to use reaper paints, and anyone who can tell me good things about that would be great.

You make no mention of how long you've been painting but I'd way that you're doing pretty well. Remember that every mini is an opportunity to learn something new -- I've been painting for about 40 years and I'm still learning new 'tricks' and techniques. (Sometimes I look back at some of the minis I did early on and feel a little embarrassed at how tough they look but it's all a learning curve. Incidentally, for Caucasian flesh I basecoat in GW Bronzed Flesh/Kislev Flesh, then wash it over with GW Snakebite Leather/Balor Brown thinned down with GW Lamian Medium. Drybrush over with Kislev again (though not too heavily) and then lightly drybrush highlights with GW Bleached Bone/Ushabti Bone. There are LOADS of helpful tutorials on YouTube so check 'em out.
