Alahan mounted standard bearer

Painted for Antenocitis workshop http://www.barrule.com/ Brass armour was base coloured with a VMC chocolate brown/middlestone mix, shaded by adding more chocolate brown, highlighted by adding more middlestone followed by silver grey. More depth was added using chocolate brown and VGC royal purple washes. Verdigris was added using thin layers of VMC bronze green, followed by turquoise, then blue green and finally by adding thinned Rackham patina green. Filligree trim was based VMC ochre brown, highlighted with dark flesh, then ivory and finished with silver grey. Red robes and armour was based with GW scab red/scorched brown mix, highlighted by adding more scab red, then VMC red, then spots of VGC fiery orange and VMC beige. The shadows were then re-worked with VGC royal purple and night blue. The horse skin was base coated VMC chocolate brown, shaded with 50:50 VMC German camo black:VGC royal purple. Highlights were added by adding more and more cork brown to the chocolate brown and finished by adding small amounts of silver grey to get the silky sheen on horse's skin. The base was made from cork and sand, dry brushed with browns and greys, then dressed with Antenocitis Workshop's flock (earth tones and winter scatter), leaf litter and Woodland scenics undergrowth (light green and olive).
