Cleric
My husband has a big box of minis from the late 80's/early 90's. A lot of them are pretty blobby, but there was something about this one that caught my eye. I like the simplicity of the sculpt, and I think the figure has a really nice beautific expression that fits a cleric in the midst of prayer. I thought he did have a touch of a Mediterranean look, so I tried to give him an olive skin tone, using an earthy green colour to shade and glaze the skin. I was also trying to practice getting more contrast between my highest highlight and deepest shadow, as well as having shadows and highlights concentrated to a smaller area. I'm not happy with the brown cloak, but that's one of the few Reaper Master Series triads that gives me fits. The weapon was the poorest part of the sculpt, I did what I could with filing during prep, and with a little trompe l'oeil during the painting. I managed to find this guy in a Citadel catalog on Stuff of Legends.
