Fianna #1

This is the first Rackham mini I've ever painted. It is one of the Fiannas from the first set of three I believe. I was playing with some new metallics when I started this one. I like the way her armor came out. I couldn't stand that Giant plain old blade, so I decided to try a little freehand. She is on her way to her new home as I type this. I sent her to a friend, I hope they like her... ;) Look forward to hearing your comments and criticisms :). Cheers, Grumb

No worries RedSevenBlue, its all good. I wasn't bothered at all. I wasn't completely happy with this mini, but it was painted for the femme Fatale competition and I quite simply ran out of time and had to stop painting...;) Anyway, thanks for the comments, I appreciate your candor...:). Cheers, Grumb

comment: nicely done. the highlighting looks pretty decent, and the shadows look awesome. critcisms: you shoulda done blade contast as in making the edge lighter and the flat parts darker, I like to highlight leather like this: base: bestial brown, first highlight: snakebite leather, second highlight: snakbite leather mixed with some bleached bone, it comes out very nice, you shoulda done that here. all these criticisms are what I learned, don't get angry, I just am good at critcism and noticing somehwat miniscule things, I'm sorry if this made you angry.

Nice job. I especially like the simlicity and cleanliness of the freehand. The base is pretty good too. The way you got it shaded looks like that bikini goes wwaaaayyyy up in the back.
