Wyrd Games Wereshark entry
This was my entry to the Wyrd Games painting competition, what I have taken to calling the Shark Challenge... It is my Ode to Classic SNL (Saturday Night Live). It is a take off from the old Landshark skit circa 1975. It won first place for Best Base / Diarama. The miniatures used are both from Reaper, the main piece is of course the Wereshark (#2890) and the female "potential victim" was the Arilyn Water Sorceress figure (#2563). The wall was made with Super Sculpy and the door was cast plaster. The floor on the "inside" was made from plasticard and painted to look like a terracotta tile floor. The table and chair are from WizKids. and the chest and vases are from the Dwarven Forge line (treasure set I believe.) The Celtic Cross on the wall is from a charm for a bracelet. I converted the squid that was in the shark's left hand to look like he had ripped a bunch of flowers out of the ground, roots and all. I changed the position of the shark's other arm and used GS to resculpt the shoulder. I also filed down and resculpted the joint where the tail met the body and where the legs met so it didn't look like a man in a shark suit... although that probably would have been funnier now that I think about it. I hope you all enjoy this piece and look forward to reading your comments. Thanks All, Scott
