Dwarf Demon Slayer

My first attempt at Gems (took many tries, these things are just tiny!!) and at Stripes on pants, I've only been painting up a Beast army since I started this hobby over a year ago, so I had no occasion to practice these techniques. It was hard, but I'm very pleased with my results and thanks to people who posted great tutorials on CMON! I also wanted him based so I could use him in a game if I ever get around to painting my dwarves, so he is on a game legal 20mm base, and believe it or not, he ranks up! :)

Thanks, I was planning on tattoos, I even painted one on (a nice Dwarven rune from the new Dwarf book), but I thought the mini, which is already busy, would look *cluttered*. Also, I worked really hard on blending the skin and didn't want to cover the little bit of exposed flesh that there was on this model. The mini looked so striking and clean that I painted over the tattoo I did and scrapped my tattoo plans! Myabe in these up close digital pics it would look good, but from more than an inch away I think it would detract. I focused a lot of energy on getting the gems and stripes to look as good as possible instead.

Luv that mini, very clearly painted, but You could have made some more freehads, like tatoos or sumfin..
