Morghoul, Skorne Warlock

I painted this guy as part of a commission for Cerberus Entertainment, the guys doing the good work of Privateer Press in Europe. I painted the Skorne boxset and the Circle boxset to go on display at Salute '06 and due to some postage problems had less time than would have been ideal to do them in. In order to make sure i didn't end up sending some really nice Warlocks and some rubbish Warbeasts i did the beasts first and left myself about3 days to do the two Warlocks. I'm pleased with the result for the time taken. There isn't much more i would have done with more time except smoother blending on some bits and maybe lighter final highlights. I would have considered free hand on the cloth but not sure i would have done it. Scathing critique welcomed, hehe. And Kaya is here: http://www.coolminiornot.com/127685

Yeah, it's Chainmail and black ink. I'm not sure what else i could do besides working through all the shades of metals and maybe adding blood but i didn't have time for that.

The claws really let it down. They're such a prominent part of the mini, but they're as basic as they could possibly be.

Yeah the claws are a bit 'meh' but i don't think it would be posible to make them any more like Freddy's without them breaking. He's definately a guy though, the Skorne 'girl' is Makeda, who's more of a crone really.
