After gaining experience from painting my other 1st bakemono, I went for a more earth toned yellow so that it looks less bright and suited for a monk's robe. The red/yellow trims were dropped to get rid of that mexican feel before. I love his post and imagined this big guy balancing himself with one leg on top of a log during training. The NNM on the blade is done as discribed in the article (NNM made easy on CMON). I'm still experimenting with other types of metal at the moment. Not sure when I'll start on the last guy but I hope I can improve further with that one.
