Thanks for the input, Drakhar. It was my camera, the mini sitting in front of me isn't near as shiny as the picture shows I did use a matte varnish. I don't find the red to black blending too confusing at least no more confusing than the GW daemon prince, I used the exact color palette from theirs. Perhaps my Golden Demon trophies were obscuring my view when I was painting this one!
well first off i can't tell if the demon prince is supposed to be from the world eaters or black legion. the mixing of the black on the armor and the red flesh is confusing. and the high gloss shine shows through maybe try and use a matte varnish spray the dull the glare. try and blend the red flesh more to make the transition smoother on the bare areas.
