Escape!

The basic idea was for the soldier to be running to escape his APC before it explodes. I think this is the first time I have actually tried to make a face look quite so gritty. I'm relatively pleased with how it came out but I am sure I will be touching it up for a couple of weeks to come. I'm also quite pleased by the weathered effect on the chimera, with peeling red paint and rust, with sharp metallic edges where it has been recently scratched. I had an hour of fun jumping in puddles for the first time in years to get an idea of how to create the effect of him stomping into the puddle on his base. This will probably be going to UK GD 2006, though I dont yet know for sure. no metallics were used, it is pure NMM. any thoughts/suggestions/tips?

Great idea... i like it. Just a few things, imho i think the chimera would be better off without the numeral. The flames look like melted cheese, check out how others have done flames, this is not convincing & you have a great opportunity with it to do some OSL. Maybe the escapee is positioned a little too forward (maybe a bit overcritical;))
