Ooh, you want to really watch that first step, eh? This is really good, but there's something about it that just stops it edging into the "9" zone for me. It's not the quality of the painting, which is great. I think it's the pose.
Great idea, the pose looks real, his pained expression is also cool (but don't space marines use some pain soothing drug infusion system or some similar cunning shizzle?), his injury looks painfully real, no fancy stuff here. Good lightings & scratches. There were just some things that made me rate 7 rather than 8: Some parts weren't as carefully painted (the backpack, the boltgun) as others, the base is very um "basic", could add more stuff. And his face could use some more contrast. But, again, great lighting here as well! ANd the scratch looks great.
