1. Paint to thick.
2. lack of tone metal tone.
3. Lack of definition.
Have you considered using a flying stand or some other appropriate transparent stand to suspend the servo skull from to deminish the conspicuousness of the wire?

(1) similar metallic colours throughout...try mixing up or down the colour range.
(2) Too much focus on the handle of the axe
(3) don't flash when photographing, especially on metallics...its too glaring for me.
