This figure was painted as a commission for Newbold World. The character is named Inge, the owner and proprietor of a clothing boutique. She is a member of a people called Kush, which display a mix of human and animal characteristics. Since she has fox attributes, I decided to go for an iconic red fox look. The tiles are painted freehand. I used my brush to try to keep the measurements consistent. The sides of the long squares are the length of the bristles, and the small squares are the length of a crimp on the ferrule. I figured it'd be easiest to use something close to hand.
